Bakehouse artist Mary Ellen Scherl was commissioned by the National Institute of Health to produce a sculpture, “The Ladder,” which will be unveiled and celebrated on April 25, from 10 to 11:30 AM.

Bakehouse artist Smita Sen choreographed "Breaths of Care," an expanded live performance of "This Porous Earth," commissioned and performed for the Aspen Ideas Climate Festival in Miami Beach.

Smita will also be performing the original work "Songs to Carry With You” at the Frost Art Museum FIU’s “Slow Art Day.” Smita’s performance will begin at 12:15 PM in the Discover Gallery.

Bakehouse artist Moira Holohan is participating in a solo exhibition, Erog Argot, opening at Emerson Dorsch on April 18th. The exhibition will be on view until June 1st.

Bakehouse artist Judith Berk King is part of a group exhibition, Floridiana, the Land's Identity at OMSA Gallery in Ft. Lauderdale, on view beginning April 6th.

Judith will also be participating in Locust Project’s “Spring Fling” fundraiser on April 20th. Along with her participation in the fundraiser, Judith is participating in a group exhibition Art from the Heart, an exhibition that is fundraising for the Family Resource Center of South Florida. The exhibition will be on view in Paradise Plaza in Miami, beginning April 20th.

Bakehouse artist Agua Dulce Gloriosa recently led a sound bath performance and reflective somatic poetry workshop, consider rebirth, as part of O, Miami’s Poetry Festival 2024.

Agua Dulce will also be participating in the Frost Art Museum FIU’s “Slow Art Day,” leading a sound bath performance from 1:15 to 1:45 PM.

Bakehouse artists Lauren Shapiro, Lee Pivnik, Philip Lique, and Andrea Spiridonakos are participating in the group exhibition Lamp Show at Club Gallery, opening April 20th. The exhibition was curated by independent curator and Bakehouse Assistant Director of Programs + Community Engagement Laura Novoa and participating artist Philip Lique.
