Bakehouse artist Smita Sen has recently been awarded the Dance Miami Choreographers Award by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, for her ongoing series Geology of Longing.

Bakehouse artists Amanda Linares and Jose Luis Garcia are participating in the group exhibition Unfold, on view now through October 27th at the Miami Beach Visual Arts Gallery (1602A Washington Ave).

Amanda is also participating in her first ever solo gallery exhibition In The Midst Of All, opening October 28th at Tunnel Projects!


Bakehouse artists Maria Theresa Barbist and Jose Luis Garcia are participating in the Broward College Fall Faculty Exhibition, on view through October 25th at the Rosemary Duffy Larson Gallery.


Bakehouse artist Sterling Rook’s installation Almost Home is on view at Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, as part of the Art On The Plaza series. The installation is on view through November 19th.

Bakehouse artist Morel Doucet was recently interviewed and featured in the online publication Colossal, “Morel Doucet on Beauty, Gentrification, and Why He Uses Poetry to Tell His Story.”


Bakehouse artist Beatriz Chachamovits has an installation on view Into the Great Dying: Roles We Play at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. It is the final iteration in a three-part series that invites viewers to engage with an interactive coral reef. Into the Great Dying is on view through November 19th.


Bakehouse artist Jillian Mayer is participating in the 2023 Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival at The Arc in Daegu, Korea. Her work, Slumpie 58, is on view through October 15th.


Bakehouse artists Carolina Casusol, Gabriela Garcia D'Alta, and Xavier Lujan are participating in the group exhibition “SONG OF SIMPLE THINGS,” by Mahara+Co and Art Space 305.
