Bakehouse artist Maritza Caneca’s work was recently featured in the group exhibition Inatividade Contemplativa, on view now through April 12 at Anita Schwartz Galeria in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Caneca’s work will also be on view at the 2025 collaboARTive Biennial with Saladrigas Gallery. The Biennial will take place at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School beginning April 4th and closing May 24th.

"Mountains", a multi award-winning narrative feature produced, written, and directed by Bakehouse artists, (co-written and produced by Robert Colom-Vargas; co-written and directed by Monica Sorelle) is on MUBI starting this month! MUBI offers a 30-day free subscription, so you can see “Mountains” subtitled in English or Spanish anytime! It will be on the platform for the next two years. Mountains, which was released theatrically last fall, was distributed through Music Box Films. More at https://mountains.film.

Bakehouse artist Gabriela García D’Alta is participating in a solo exhibition currently on view at Tunnel Projects, titled Ephemeral Pillars. Through Ephemeral Pillars, Gabriela continues her exploration of discarded materials as both aesthetic and cultural in creating this site-specific installation for Tunnel that transforms waste into contemporary symbols of our throwaway culture.

Bakehouse artist Monique Lazard collaborated with University of Miami glassmaking students in creating a group exhibition that is now on view at The Lowe Museum of Art. Lazard is also participating in a spring showcase that is now on view at the Riviera Country Club.

Bakehouse artist Amanda Linares is participating in the group exhibition Unraveled Tales, now on view at the Deering Estate. Linares featured work is a site-specific installation titled Day Before Yesterday.

Bakehouse artist Juan Luis Matos was recently selected as the 2025 Laureate for the Bakehouse x Cité internationale des arts residency programme. Juan is the third Bakehouse artist selected through a competitive and juried process for a two-month residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris from May to June 2025.

Bakehouse artist Christina Pettersson’s work is now on view Kampong Garden, as part of the solo exhibition Revenant Florida Landscapes as Living Memory. Pettersson is also participating in the group exhibition The Driven Woman, on view now through March 31st at the Mirimar Cultural Center.

Sandra is also participating in the group exhibition Layered Lives: The Art of Nine Contemporary Cuban Women from the Discoveries in Art on view now through March 23, 2025 at the Amarillo Museum of Art in Texas.
