A round-up of artist news for October 2022!


Opening October 27, Morphogenesis is a group exhibition featuring Bakehouse artist Judith Berk King at the Frank Gallery in Pembroke Pines. An artist panel expanding on the thematics of Morphogenesis is scheduled for November 17.

Bakehouse artist Najja Moon was one of the four artists selected to participate in the redesign of Homewood Park, a commissioning program for new public art projects. Situated in the City of Pittsburg, the community is looking for artworks that tell the story of the historic Homewood community and its notable people, organizations, and events.

Bakehouse artist Jennifer Printz is participating in a group show, Rembrandt Reframed, at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum. On view through January 8, 2023, the exhibition presents the work of three contemporary artists and frames them in the context of twenty-two prints by Dutch artist Rembrandt.

Bakehouse artist Lauren Shapiro presents research from her FIU Radcliffe Art + Design Incubator Entrepreneurial Residency on October 24 at 7 pm. RSVP for the in-person talk here.

Bakehouse artist Troy Simmons was featured in Architect Magazine (posted on September 27, 2022) for his integrated sculpture at the Wynwood 2300 Building in Miami and for his forthcoming work, The Janus Portal, for the Bombardier service center at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, which is set to open this fall.
