Donor Highlight: The Miami Foundation
We would like to thank the Miami Foundation for awarding us $30,000 in Mission Building Support through the Community Grants program in the Inspiring Arts and Culture category!
The Community Grants program is a permanent resource for Greater Miami, made possible by generous donors who trust the Foundation to address the community’s most pressing needs and greatest opportunities.
This year, the organization awarded $2.5 million to 106 nonprofits across a wide array of disciplines. For 2022, the Foundation focused on making investments that would have the greatest impact for local residents by selecting nonprofit partners with clear visions for sustainable progress, an overarching commitment to advancing equity, and an unwavering dedication to collectively building a thriving Miami for all.
Bakehouse Art Complex was among twelve organizations awarded through the Inspiring Arts and Culture category, which funds work that champions the diversity of our community, expands access to arts and culture experiences for residents, or increases opportunities for artistic expression.

The work that Bakehouse leads to ensure that there are affordable studio spaces for local artists is crucial to creating a thriving arts ecosystem in Miami," said Lindsey Linzer, Vice President of Community Investments at The Miami Foundation.
