Drawing Us In II: A Virtual Artist Residency
Building upon an earlier conversation, Drawing Us In: A Conversation about Contemporary Drawing, hosted by Bakehouse in April, “Drawing Us In II: A Virtual Artist Residency” is an Instagram-mediated event, organized by Bakehouse resident Jennifer Printz. The program will function as a virtual studio residency and workshop accessible on the Bakehouse’s Instagram page.
A group of artists hailing from different countries, who were meant to meet and participate in L’AIR’s drawing research residency in Paris in March, will present from their home studio spaces for up to 30-minute intervals. Join them virtually as artists from Peru, Australia, Canada, among other locations, work through a drawing with you, give you a glimpse into their studios, and share their recent work.
Schedule:
Monday, June 15 - Akira Chinen (Lima, Peru)
Tuesday, June 16 - Lorena Morales (Houston, TX)
Wednesday, June 17 - Dulce Chacon (Mexico City, Mexico)
Thursday, June 18 - Nicole Shimonek (Winnipeg, Canada)
Friday, June 19 - Yen Ha (New York City, NY)
