Join Bakehouse artists at The Underline on the third Saturday of the month for a day of exploration and learning. The Underline’s Family Day program will include art-making activities, including traditional Japanese paper dying, bookmaking, clay-building, and more!

Participating artists
Explore a traditional Japanese paper dyeing method (orizome-shi) and create your own beautiful and unique patterned papers inspired by Shawna Moulton’s (Website) travels to Tokushima, Japan.
Jose Luis Garcia (Website) will guide you through a bookmaking activity that ranges from simple to complex fold books. You will create “pocket books” that fit in your pocket and that you can keep handy for your adventures during the event!
With Carolina Casusol (Website) you will learn how to color and shape clay in order to create and personalize your own holiday ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree or to gift your family and friends.
Create egg carton bells with Alyssa Andrews (Website) by cutting individual egg cartons, decorating them, and then stringing a bell through a pipe cleaner to give any space some holiday cheer.
Guided by Mateo Serna Zapata (Website) make your own cyanotype sun prints using digital negatives of Florida native plants.
