Join Bakehouse Art Complex at The Underline for a day of exploration and learning. Celebrate growth, change, and the colors of spring with activities designed by Bakehouse artists.

This event is free to the public, but RSVP is encouraged.

Soar into Spring! For this activity, led by artist Morel Doucet (Website) , children of all ages will create a unique butterfly inspired by the colors around them using coffee filters and pipe cleaners.

Bakehouse artist VantaBlack will lead an activity in coloring-in unique designs, in celebration of Earth Day!

Join us in learning about thaumatropes with artist Lauren Shapiro (Website)! Create these classic toys that use persistence of vision to create motion. Using nature as inspiration, children can design their unique thaumatropes and explore the principles of optics.

Join us in transforming elements like wooden figurines and paint into characters of your own, for an open-ended experience of play that considers ideas of collaboration and growth with Bakehouse artist Gabriela Garcia (Website)!
