Still there are seeds to be gathered presents the work of eighteen women artists from Miami whose practices present an iconology of female bodies. Inspired by Ursula Le Guin’s “Carrier Bag Theory”, the exhibition explores corporeality through myth, portrait, and assemblage, suggesting bodies as fragments, vessels, and collective voices.
Organized in conjunction with Women’s History Month, the exhibition is co-curated by Karen Grimson, Curator of Craig Robins Collection and Director of Cultural Programming for the Miami Design District, Laura Novoa, Assistant Director of Programs and Community Engagement for the Bakehouse Art Complex, in collaboration with Collective 62.
Join us for an opening brunch to celebrate the participating artists featured in the group exhibition on Sunday, March 12 from 11 am - 2 pm.
