Join Bakehouse artists at The Underline every third Saturday of the month for a day of exploration and learning. This month, celebrate the fall season with hands-on, art-making activities about gratitude, appreciation, thankfulness, family and friends, all designed by Bakehouse artists!
This event is free to the public, but RSVP is encouraged.
PARTICIPATING ARTISTS
Express your appreciation and love for friends and family by making your very own gratitude tree with artist Maria Theresa Barbist! Participants will write the names of their loved ones and the qualities they appreciate in them on paper leaves and heart-shaped cutouts, which will be used to decorate the trunk and branches of their tree.
Get ready for some gobble-tastic fun with artist Carolina Casusol. Participants will create their very own festive headbands adorned with colorful feathers, cute turkey faces, and messages of thankfulness.
Using old magazines and other printed materials, artist Gabriela Gamboa guides participants in the creation of collages. Participants will create messages of appreciation, gratitude, and love through color schemes and the combination of images and words.
Join artist Pati Monclus in making drawings of the people, places, and things you love using Styrofoam. Using markers, participants will draw on the Styrofoam and press it against a damp piece of paper. The ink from the markers will be absorbed and transferred to the paper, creating an amazing work of art.
Artist Mateo Serna Zapata will be photographing the Family Day fun!
