Join Bakehouse artist Gabriela Gamboa for a photo walk at the Deering Estate presented on the occasion of her site-specific installation, New Topographies: 25.7617° N, 80.1918 W° , on-view through February 12, 2023.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore Deering's naturally-protected areas from a photographic perspective, focusing on composition, lighting, and the elements of landscape photography. During the walk, naturalist Jared Guerra will provide information on the history of the estate and native plants and animals. After the photo walk, participants will gather by Gabriela's installation for an informal Q+A and some light bites and refreshments.

This event is open to participants of all levels. Attendees are free to bring whatever camera equipment they wish to use: digital, film, or camera phone. This event is not suitable for children under the age of 16.

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes suitable for the outdoors. Please bring a water bottle, mosquito repellent, and sun protection!
